Falls can cause pain, disability and permanently reduce a senior’s independence. And with that the risk to get isolated and lonely increases. The course consists of 9 meetings in 3 months. Each meeting contains 30 minutes of gym guided by a physiotherapist and 30 minutes information from local professionals (such as yoga instructor, occupational therapist, sport opportunities in the neighbourhood). After the course the elderly are being stimulated to continue moving in a sports group for elderly and are invited for the social program for elderly in their neighbourhood.
A pilot of the course started in 2016 and in 2017 the course started for the second time. The course will be evaluated afterwards.
