Immersive Tech

2024 – 2025

Immersive Tech includes all technologies such as Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR) and Mixed Reality (MR). The impact of these technologies is very diverse and applications can be found in training, simulations in construction, industry, healthcare, culture and media. Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences trains students to use and develop immersive technologies in an innovative and responsible way in their field of study.

Immersive Tech Knowledge Programme

There is a lot to learn in our rapidly changing digital world. For all our study programmes, it is important to keep our knowledge of new technologies and developments in our field up to date, and to explore together whether what we teach is still relevant to developments in the field and in society.

The School of Communication, Media and Information Technology (CMI) is developing a knowledge programme to share knowledge, experiences and insights among students and staff on the topic of Immersive Technology. In collaboration with (external) experts and other educational institutions in Rotterdam, we are experimenting and innovating with new technologies.

The programme
