Sex is a topic that is not often discussed with young people with disabilities and chronic health conditions. Still, the timing of the first kiss, intercourse, or the starting of an intimate relationship; is often comes later for adolescents with a chronic condition. Many adolescents also encounter obstacles in relationships. For example, building connections with peers or going out and can be more difficult. Many adolescents also have questions about sexuality, inheritance, fertility and pregnancy. SeCZ TaLK is a board game for adolescents with a chronic condition or handicap. It was developed in order to make topics such as relationships, intimacy and sexuality negotiable and to convey information and knowledge on these topics.
SeCZ TaLK is a board game for adolescents with a chronic condition or handicap. It was developed in order to make topics such as relationships, intimacy and sexuality negotiable and to convey information and knowledge on these topics. The game can be played in special education settings, in rehabilitation centres, at youth-centred activities hosted by patient organisations, and in outpatient clinics where adolescents and young adults come for consultation. Sometimes, special activities for such adolescents are organised, such as courses or weekend activities. The game could also be played at these kinds of occasions.
