Professorship Working Together with Parents

Books, chapters on working together with parents and Mariëtte Lusse's Toolkit are used in the curricula of study programmes at Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences (Pabo, Teacher Training, Social Work, AD- Pedagogical Educational Professional, Master programme in Educational Theory) and elsewhere in the country. Many students in the research group Working Together with Parents are graduating. They present their professional products at the annual graduation symposium Parents in the Spotlights. In addition, Mariëtte thinks along on making graduation more practice-oriented and she regularly gives guest lectures for and interviews with students.

Professorship Child Poverty

Mariëtte Lusse (together with Liesbeth van der Ree (Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences) and with Annelies Kassenberg and Inge Ekenhorst of Hanze University Groningen) has produced a triptych of guidelines for dealing better with child poverty at schools, in the social domain and in birth and youth health care. Two book chapters were also realised in the textbook 'Poverty and Existence Insecurity', one of them together with Leonie le Sage. The handouts and chapters are used as teaching materials and found by students graduating in the field of child poverty. Mariëtte Lusse is also a guest lecturer at activities in AD, bachelor and master programmes on this theme. Students graduate from various projects within the professorship. In October 2021, on the initiative of the professorship Child Poverty and in collaboration with the Werkplaats Sociaal Domein Zuid Holland Zuid and Inholland University of Applied Sciences, the student symposium 'Poverty, a Complex Puzzle' was organised.
