    Are you admissible?

    To enter the full-time Master programme Shipping & Transport you must meet the following requirements and upload these application documents:

    Students with a NVAO accredited Bachelor degree 

    • A Bachelor degree in field of: Engineering, Shipping, Logistics or Business related.
      • ID (only EU applicants) or Passport (all other applicants)
      • Copy of your degree or if you will graduate before 1st of September (Fall season)  but obtain the physical copy later than the start date fill in statement of expected graduation date  signed by your university
      • Transcript 
      • Curriculum Vitae
      • Motivation letter
    • A non-business related Bachelor’s degree
      • ID (only EU applicants) or Passport (all other applicants)
      • Copy of your degree or if you will graduate before 1st of September (Fall season) but obtain the physical copy later than the start date fill in statement of expected graduation date  signed by your university
      • Transcript 
      • Curriculum Vita
      • Motivation letter
      • Minimum of 2 years related work experience
      • An additional mandatory interview can qualify for direct entry
    • If you have a NVAO accredited degree, you are exempt from the English requirement
    • Translation is not required if your diploma and transcript are issued in English, Dutch, German, French, or Spanish.

    Students with a foreign diploma

    • A Bachelor degree in field of: Engineering, Shipping, Logistics or Business related
      • ID (only EU applicants) or Passport (all other applicants)
      • Copy of your degree or if you will graduate before 1st of September (Fall season) but obtain the physical copy later than the start date fill in statement of expected graduation date  signed by your university

    • Translation is not required if your diploma and transcript are issued in English, Dutch, German, French, or Spanish.  If your documents are in any other language, upload both the original and a certified translation by a sworn translator into English or Dutch.  
    • English requirement: you must demonstrate your English proficiency with one of the following
    Test Minimum score*
    IELTS Academic 6.5
    TOEFL iBT 90
    Cambridge CAE C 180-184 | FCE: A 180-184 & B 176-179
    • Please note*

      • Test results cannot be older than 2 years
      • Online or home editions are not accepted. We only accept tests that are taken at the test centre of the English language test provider
      • For IELTS, up to two subscores may be 0.5 below the overall required score. For students who do not meet the sub score requirements can qualify for an additional interview to receive entry  into the programme of their choice.
      • For TOEFL iBT, "My best scores" are not accepted

    Exemptions English test

    You are only exempt for the English language test if:

    • You have an NVAO accredited degree
    • Your degree is demonstrably taught entirely in English and has been obtained in the following countries:
      • Australia
      • Canada (with the exception of the French-speaking regions)
      • Ireland
      • New Zealand
      • The United Kingdom
      • USA

    For students who do not meet these requirements we offer the Pre-master programme . After completion of this programme, you can then enroll for one of our masters. 

     

    Application deadline overview

    European (EEA) applicants 31 Jul
    Non-European (non-EEA) applicants* 1 April
    Non-EU applicants with valid Dutch residence permit with the purpose of study 1 June
    Non-EU applicants with a Dutch residence permit that wish to change their residence into purpose of study   1 June
    Non-EU applicants with a valid Dutch residence permit and who do not require a study residence permit   31 July
