Business costs
Each student in a team should allocate a budget of approximately €200 to invest in the business. This budget may be used for essential expenses such as:
- Chamber of Commerce (KvK) registration fees
- Purchasing inventory
- Opening a business bank account
- Acquiring a domain name
- Subscriptions to essential tools (e.g., Shopify, Canva, Wix, etc.)
- Advertising and marketing efforts
For a team of four students, this results in a total starting budget of €800.
It is the responsibility of each team to manage their finances effectively and aim for profitability by the end of the minor. However, students should be aware that if the business is not managed well, there is a risk of losing their initial investment.
Travel costs
During the minor, students may be required to attend entrepreneurship events outside the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences. There are plenty of events available in and around Rotterdam that students can bike to.
However, if students choose to attend events that are further away, students will be responsible for covereing their own travel expenses and arranging their own travel plans.
