I have financial questions

Studying costs money. Sometimes you may experience financial difficulty. You may be in debt, or you are facing large expenses due to unforeseen circumstances.

At Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences we offer services and regulations you may be eligible for and that could help you.

You first need to examine any DUO service before checking your eligibility for other funds. In case you have already made use of a DUO service, or if DUO services are not applicable to your situation, you can then check eligibility for one of the financial regulation listed below. 

Profiling fund

Profiling fund

Has your study progress been delayed because of a special situation? For example, because you are pregnant, have a long-term illness, or family problems? When you are a student in a full-time, or dual study programme, and your studies have been delayed during the first four years in higher education, you may be eligible for the Profiling Fund.
Private Funds

Private Funds

If you are a student and at some time during your studies you have insufficient finances, you can, in some cases, appeal to private funds. Private funds belong to organisations that support students who cannot make ends meet with their student finance or other sources of income.
Financial need

Financial need

Are you in financial need? Are you no longer able to pay rent or pay for unexpected medical expenses due to (unforeseen) circumstances? It’s possible that the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences can help with a loan from the Emergency fund. You do not pay interest, but you do have to repay everything.

Do you have serious financial troubles, and do you not know how to tackle them? Are you trying to pay off a debt, and at the same time focus on your study programme? Below you will find pratical tips and information.
