The International Education Centre (IEC) is the linking pin between the school environment and the world. Its objectives are to enable students from Rotterdam Business School (RBS) and its partner universities to broaden their horizon, to develop a global outlook on the (business) world and to contribute to their employability. The IEC enables the development and implementation of internationalisation-at-home and abroad initiatives, such as exchange programmes, international classrooms, international internships, projects, international weeks and many other activities.
In addition, the IEC aims to help curriculum developers of the different RBS programmes to build their internationalisation strategy and to realize the implementation of it. It also aims to offer staff members an international experience, so they can increase their intercultural awareness, build their global network and encourage the development of global initiatives. In doing so, they contribute to the overall quality of the RBS programmes.
To achieve our goals, the International Education Centre develops and maintains an international network of partner universities, network organisations and business partners abroad. In collaboration with our international partners, we aim to create a true international educational environment, in which students and staff from all over the world can learn and grow.
The IEC works closely together with the Research Centre Business Innovation and the Centre of International Affairs, which is the central administrative and support unit for internationalisation within Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences.
