    Welcome to the library!

    Welcome, great that you have registered at Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences! The library is one of the services that helps you with your study. We have a lot of (online) information to offer you and we are happy to show you how to find it. We do this both online and on location.

    High-quality information sources and smart tools

    E-books? Help with online research? "If only we had known that earlier" is what we often hear from senior students. But now you have no excuse: below you will find the the things that are useful to you. Take a look! 

    1. Info sources for your study

    At "Information sources per study programme" you will find the sources that are relevant for your study programme. E.g. databases, trade journals and your book list. These books are available as online e-books or can be borrowed as a hardcopy. See below.

    2. Studybooks

    borrow, make reservations and extend the loan period

    Of course we have hardcopy books as well. Free to borrow for RUAS students. But where can you borrow them? For how long may you keep them and where do you return your books? Here you find the answers to these questions...

    3. START: The library's search tool

    With our 'STudy And Research Tool' you can find most books, journals, databases and scientific articles in our collection. You can also reserve and renew books and request articles from other libraries.

    4. Lean Library: put the library in your browser

    Did you know a lot of information is only available for a fee, or via the library? With the Lean Library extension in your browser you search like a pro. Getting access is simplified and so is finding scientific articles.

    Can't find what you need? Our information specialists are there for you! Make an appointment via chat or e-mail or come to a library information desk.

    6. Collaboration and selfstudy in the library

    we have quiet study spaces and conference rooms

    Most library locations have a quiet study space. Here you can focus on your studies with studybooks within reach. At location Academieplein and Kralingse Zoom we also have conference rooms with large screen displays.
