NL scholarship

For Bachelor and Master programmes

The NL scholarship is meant for international students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) who want to do their bachelors or masters in the Netherlands. The EEA consists of the EU countries and Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.

Participating programmes

The following programmes of Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences are eligible for the NL Scholarship:

Willem de Kooning Academy - Bachelor programmes

Piet Zwart Institute - Master programmes

Scholarship amount

The scholarship amounts to € 5000. You will receive this in the first year of your studies.

Application criteria 

  • Your nationality is non-EEA.
  • You are applying for one of the above mentioned programmes at Willem de Kooning Academy/Piet Zwart Institute - Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences.

How to apply 

Applicants can apply for their scholarship until the 1 May 2024 (the admission deadline for the programme is 1st May 2024).

  • You can email a letter of motivation to wdka.admission@hr.nl. Please state in the subject of the email “Scholarship” and the study programme of your choice. It is also important to mention your full name, study programme and student number in the letter of motivation.
    Requirements: no specific criteria. Please keep it to a maximum of 1,5 page (A4).
    Deadline: May 1st 2024
