Vera works as a junior researcher at citizenship and aging of over-40s with cerebral palsy. She is also a lecturer at the Occupational Therapy programme.
Vera graduated as an occupational therapist from the University of Applied Sciences in Amsterdam in 1990. In 2018, she completed the master's programme in Hand Therapy at the University of Derby, England.
She has worked as an occupational therapist within rehabilitation medicine, the last 25 years working at the department of rehabilitation medicine of Erasmus MC (since 2013 this is part of Rijndam Revalidation). During her career, she has built up considerable expertise in the treatment of disorders of the arm and hand.
