Programme structure
A view of the study programmeThe Research Skills course provides Pre-Master’s students with a comprehensive foundation in the principles and practices of applied research, serving as essential preparation for postgraduate study. The course aims to develop the conceptual understanding and methodological competence necessary to design, execute, and present independent applied research in accordance with scholarly standards. It equips students with both the theoretical knowledge and the practical skills needed to produce a well-structured, evidence-based research paper.
Throughout the course, students will explore the full research cycle — from identifying a research problem to communicating results effectively. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the structure, purpose and intellectual rationale of each component of a research paper. The course will therefore address, in a systematic manner, the principal components of applied research.
- Finance
Do you want to understand how companies measure financial health, analyze performance, and make strategic investment decisions? This course gives you the essential building blocks of Finance and Accounting that every professional needs. You’ll start by exploring the core principles that drive the financial world and learn how to interpret balance sheets to understand a company’s position. From there, you’ll discover how profits and losses are calculated and reported, and how cash flow analysis helps businesses make informed decisions. You’ll also dive into cost behavior to see how it influences pricing and strategy, and develop the skills to evaluate investment projects that create long-term value. Combining theory with practical application, this course ensures you don’t just understand the numbers—you learn how to use them to make smart, strategic decisions. Perfect for anyone aiming to excel in business, finance, or management, this is your chance to take financial insight to the next level and open the door to exciting opportunities!
- Management
Management is about turning big ideas into real results. First, strategy isn’t just a plan—it shapes how an organization is structured and how it creates value for customers and stakeholders. Next, decisions drive everything: from quick choices to long-term plans, and different situations call for different decision-making styles. Finally, change is constant, and it impacts resources, processes, and even people—so managers need to understand how to adapt and guide organizations through transitions. Mastering these skills helps you see the bigger picture and lead effectively in today’s dynamic business world.
- Economics
Economics is all about choices—how people and countries decide what to produce, buy, and sell. Globalization makes the world feel smaller by connecting markets, so your phone might be designed in California, made in China, and shipped to Europe. The market system works like a big loop called the circular flow: households provide labor to firms, firms pay wages, and money keeps moving. Ever wonder why sales make you buy more? That’s the law of demand—lower prices mean higher demand. On the flip side, when prices rise, suppliers want to sell more—that’s the law of supply. Elasticity tells us how much people react to price changes: if coffee gets expensive, will you still buy it? Finally, money is the superhero of trade—it lets us exchange goods easily, store value for later, and measure worth. Understanding these ideas helps you see how the economy shapes everyday life—from your shopping habits to global trends.
- Business Project I & II
Project management is about turning ideas into action and making sure everything runs smoothly. In this course, you’ll learn practical skills to plan, organize, and deliver projects successfully. You’ll also discover how to scope and manage complex business problems—because big challenges need clear plans. One exciting part is developing a market entry strategy: figuring out how a company can launch in a new market and win customers. These skills combine planning, problem-solving, and strategic thinking, which are essential for any future manager or entrepreneur. By the end, you’ll not only understand the theory but also practice real-world techniques that make projects succeed.
