International Logistics Management

Exchange programme

Here at the department of Logistics Management you will learn all ins and outs of European distribution, warehouse management, supply chain management, inventory control, global supply chains, value added logistics and customer service & quality control.

Seize the opportunity to study International Logistics Management in the city of Rotterdam. Rotterdam has the largest European sea port and is a gateway to Europe, with its favorable location in relation to the European hinterland and its world-class infrastructure.

In addition to in-depth conceptual knowledge in logistics you will be trained in simulation techniques and management skills. You will attend classes and work in project groups together with our regular students in the third year of our bachelor programme. Together with them you will solve logistical problems from real life situations. In addition to the projects European distribution and Value Added lectures are offered in a wide variety of logistics courses, combined with a course in Dutch language and culture and you will be trained in simulation techniques and (cross cultural) management skills.

What to expect

About the programme

In this Spring exchange programme, running from February until July, you will take part in the projects European distribution and Value Added Logistics with our regular third year students.

In addition to these projects, lectures are offered in warehouse management, supply chain management, inventory control, global supply chains, value added logistics and customer service & quality control.

Method

In our small scale lectures, offered to max. 30 students, activating methods are used and many practical assignments are given. Theoretical courses are usually tested by means of a written exam and projects are usually assessed by means of a report and a defense session.  In all situations we apply the Rotterdam ‘hands-on mentality’ and expect students to be active in class and take the initiative while working in  projects.

Type of assessment

  • Digital and written exams
  • (Practical) assignments
  • Paper, reports and presentations
  • Oral assessments
  • Evaluation

Learning outcomes

If you have successfully completed this exchange programme then you are able to:
