Introduction Programme
Instead of the usual full auditorium, around 180 students will live stream the Welcome to Rotterdam presentation from all over the world. To make sure that the incoming master students settle in nicely in Rotterdam, they will receive two buddies. One of the buddies will be a Student Ambassador and the other one will be a Master student. During the introduction period, they will be their point of reference for all activities and general questions. Throughout the month, the buddies have organised multiple online activities such as a City Kahoot game, a speed meeting and an introduction to the Dutch culture.
New student life
As the restrictions get stricter in the Netherlands, quarantine life as a student begins to become the new normal. RUAS Student Ambassadors Lucia & Nils decided to showcase their daily quarantine life as a student from a locked up one, to a productive one so that students can get inspired and stay motivated in these weird times.
As strange as it might be for the incoming students to start their year like this, the Centre of International Affairs is here to help. Especially right now, where some students will start their RUAS journey from a thousand miles away, it’s important to provide students with online activities so that they can get to know their future classmates and not feel so alone.
We hope that soon all of the students can safely travel to Rotterdam and start their new adventure!
