First edition exchange programme School of Built Environment to a successful end

Last week the closing ceremony of the first edition of the international exchange programme; Managing the Rotterdam Metropolitan Region, took place. This is a multidisciplinary programme offered by the departments; Architecture and construction engineering, Urban and regional planning, Real Estate management, Facility management.

Nine foreign students participated in the programme. They came from Germany, Belgium, Greece, Spain and Mexico. During the past semester they took classes in; renovation and redevelopment, city and regional branding, process management and participation, real estate investment market and participated in two applied research projects.
Friendships for life where forged. Actually the students plan to meet each other again next year in The Netherlands for Kingsday.

On the 6th of July we waved them off.  During the closing ceremony the students presented what they have learned from their experiences in The Netherlands and how their own education differs from the education at their home university. Dean Wijnand van den Brink said a word of goodbye and handed them their certificate and transcript of records.

We were happy to have them and wish them all the best for the future! The exchange programme is planned to be continued next year.
