Future Makers Award ‘Smart & Social City’ won with AI project

Students from the Business IT & Management programme won the Future Makers Award in the Smart & Social City category for their project, 'AI Chatbot Social Map Gouda'. The project uses generative AI to benefit citizens in the Gouda region.

Winners of the Future Makers Award ‘Sustainable Delta’ help Rotterdam with carbon neutral builds

As part of the 'Neighbourhood development here' project, four Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences students are collaborating with the Municipality of Rotterdam and other partners to develop sustainable construction solutions for the Schiehaven area. At the event launching the academic year, they received the Future Makers Award in the Sustainable Delta category.

Fieldlab Gambia wins Future Makers Award for ‘Future-Proof Economy’

Students from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences researched indigenous plant species that could serve as an alternative to antibiotics for the Fieldlab Gambia project. They discovered these substances in mango skin, among other places, and won a Future Makers Award in the ‘Future-Proof Economy’ category for their research.
