RUAS taking part in Master’s Fair at Jaarbeurs Utrecht

    02 November 2026

Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences will be at the Master's Fair at the Royal Dutch Jaarbeurs. The event will take place for the first time in Utrecht on 27 and 28 November. Students and young professionals can visit the fair to find out about master's programmes offered by Dutch and international higher education institutions.

Master's degrees are no longer exclusive to universities. Universities of Applied Sciences also offer professional Master's programmes. These programmes lead to the same qualifications as those at universities, and are characterised by strong links between teaching, practice-oriented research, and professional practice. Therefore, for those wishing to continue their studies after completing a Bachelor's degree, there are interesting opportunities to continue your studies at both types of institution.

Professional Master’s programmes for tackling societal challenges

The Netherlands is facing major societal challenges. The labour market is changing rapidly due to technological developments, such as AI and digitalisation. At the same time, the energy transition, an ageing population, and other societal issues require new solutions.

Consequently, professionals are increasingly confronted with issues that cannot be resolved within a single discipline. There is therefore a need for individuals with up-to-date specialist knowledge who can also analyse, establish connections, conduct investigations, develop designs and innovate.

Earning a recognised Master's degree will take you to the next level in your professional development. You will deepen your specialist knowledge, develop your research skills, and learn to tackle complex real-world challenges. Whether you are about to graduate, have recently graduated or already have work experience, a practice-oriented Master's programme will challenge you, enable you to contribute to innovation and give your career a boost.

    Information on professional Master’s programmes

During the Master's Fair in Utrecht, representatives from RUAS will be available to discuss our range of programmes, answer questions, and explain what studying for a Master's degree at a University of Applied Sciences involves.

The fair will also feature a programme of events, including practical sessions and panel discussions. Contributors will include the Education Executive Agency (DUO), Nuffic, and the Netherlands Association of Universities of Applied Sciences, among others. You can download a free ticket from the Master's Fair website.
