Context is an entirety that arises from interaction and communication between people and objects mutually connected in networks. Place-, time- and goal-related interaction and communication between people and intelligent objects or cyberphysical systems will be made possible by means including applicable and available software. The software-based connections available in the specific context will enable people and cyber-physical systems to exchange information mutually and share it at a specific place and time and will thus form an essential part of the development and realisation of the cohesive whole that is context. In this study, the phenomenon of context as a composite whole is explored from various scientific perspectives.
