As first-year students at an art academy, we were interested in learning about how various initiatives can promote alternative ways of living. Researching a small number of the initiatives that exist in Rotterdam provided us with our first tools for making our own attempts. We hope that by sharing our process through this publication, we will help people in a similar situation to develop some first insights on how to act alternatively to what they consider the norm.
