    Finance, Tax & Advice

    Financial Advice & Data Analytics

In the Financial Advice & Data Analytics community of the Finance, Tax and Advice programme, students learn how to advise private and business clients in the best possible way to make the financial part of their dreams come true. Their advice makes a true impact.

Of course financial knowledge is important, but students' business skills are just as valuable. Think about negotiation, coaching, storytelling, emotional intelligence and analysing complex problems. Knowledge and skills come together in concrete and inspiring case studies.

The first year is dedicated to basic subjects, such as business economics and financial planning, which students take at the same time as students from the Tax, Law & Ethics community.  In the second year, students specialise more and learn, for example, how to analyse data, in order to estimate future buying behaviour. Besides this, they are trained in interview techniques, business analysis and coaching advice.

Students of this programme become self-confident professionals with integrity, who are good at listening, summarising and questioning. After graduation, students are able to give financial advice to business clients and private individuals, and work as a financial planner for entrepreneurs.

    Tax, Law & Ethics community

In the Tax, Law & Ethics community of the programme, students learn how to manage financial flows related to taxes. With specialist knowledge, they can make a real difference to individuals and companies.

In addition to gaining knowledge in the tax and law field, students are equipped with a toolbox of skills needed to become a true tax professional. Through real-life case studies, students develop their knowledge and skills. This includes conducting client interviews, working collaboratively, developing emotional intelligence, and analysing complex financial problems. In just four years, students are prepared for these tasks.

During the first year, students take basic subjects such as business economics and tax law with their peers from the Financial Advice & Data Analytics community. From the second year, the focus is more specifically on the tax world, with subjects such as tax rights and obligations and how to implement them efficiently. Lecturers will provide coaching and guidance throughout this process.

After graduation, students can work as tax consultants, tax assistants, or in other tax professions. This degree provides a range of career opportunities in various sectors, including profit, non-profit, or governmental organisations.
