Last year, three students designed a dashboard that mapped the use and procurement of medical supplies in the intensive care department. This year, Julia Dijkman (Business Administration), Murat Suiçmez (Business IT & Management), and Zinah Sou (Human Resource Management) continued this work with the question: "How can Franciscus effectively manage and promote sustainable procurement in Intensive Care and Pediatrics?"
The updated dashboard not only provides insight into usage but also encourages behavioral change. Teams are positively nudged to use medical products more efficiently and sustainably. In doing so, we are not only taking steps toward a more sustainable product range but also optimizing our inventory management, which contributes to further sustainability. The insights from this project therefore help us concretely in making circular choices and advancing the transition to sustainable healthcare.

What role does behavior play in the transition to a circular economy? That is the question posed by Mirella Soyer, Professor of Behavior for Circular Transitions at Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences. For her inaugural lecture, she recorded a video in which various experts share their perspectives on circular behavioral change. Watch the video here.
