The libraries are closed on Good Friday, 2nd Easter Day, the May holiday and on Day of Freedom (Dag van de Vrijheid)

On Good Friday, 2nd Easter Day, the May holiday and on Day of Freedom (Dag van de Vrijheid) all library locations are closed. Databases, this website and START will continue to be available of course. Got a question? Send us an e-mail.

Good Friday - Friday 18 April
2nd Easter Day - Monday 21 April
May holiday - Monday 28 April to Friday 2 May
Day of Freedom (Dag van de Vrijheid) - Monday 5 May

Frequently asked questions

about returning and extending books when the library's closed

Returning your books when we're closed is usually not possible (because the faculty buildings are also closed). However vacations and holidays don't count for your loan period, so your late fees will not increase because you couldn't return your books.
You can check your loan period and extend it yourself by going to your personal page in START
