Logistics and Economics

Exchange programme | Open for partner and non-partner university students

For students interested in studying Logistics in the vibrant city of Rotterdam with the biggest port of Europe, the department of Logistics and Economics provides two exchange programmes, both consisting of 30 ects.

In Spring we offer English courses from our regular Bachelor programme and in Fall we offer the minor Supply Chain Management, a fourth year elective programme designed to provide logistics students with in-depth knowledge of supply chain operations, and methods and tools to develop strategies for continuous improvement of the performance of a supply chain. 

Logistics and Economics Programme (Feb-July)

In this programme you will take part in second, third and fourth year courses of our Bachelor programme such as Customer Service and Quality Control, International Business, Management Information Systems, Inventory Control, Innovation in Logistics, Management Skills, Supply Chain Management and Cross Cultural Management. In addition to the regular courses students work in project groups together with the Dutch students and other International Exchange students to solve logistics problems from real life situations. One of these projects is Value Added Logistics and in the Practice Integrated project, the assignment is provided by actual companies.

The Minor Supply Chain Management (Sept-Jan)

An organization's supply chain performance influences its operational, financial and reputation risks and thus the management of its supply chain has become increasingly important and visible for corporate survival and success. Therefore, the job of a supply chain manager extends beyond the scope of efficiency and value, into the realm of competitive advantage. In this minor in-depth courses are offered such as Business Process Management, Methods and Tools, CMI Six Sigma, SCM Today, SCM in Retail, Logistics and SCM and Certified Supply Chain Professional. In addition to this, the course Dutch Language and Culture is offered especially for the international students, in order to make you more familiar with the Dutch Language, our country and the Dutch provinces and cities, the biggest harbor of Europe and our history and culture.
