Short Course

Rotterdam, the sports’ capital of The Netherlands! And soon to be one of the top five sports cities in Europe! A goal that is inspired by the cities ambitious slogan ‘Make it happen’!

And best of all, it has the proof to backup this bold statement. Rotterdam is home to some of the most important annual events in the international sports calendar, such as:

  • the ABN World Tennis Tournament
  • the Rotterdam Marathon.

Furthermore, the city continues to host a wide variety of major sports events including:

  • the Red Bull Air Race
  • Bavaria City Racing
  • World Championships Beach volleyball
  • Gymnastics
  • BMX
  • stages of the Tour de France.

Last but not least, Rotterdam is the only city in the country that has three premier league football clubs and, for the first time in 18 years, is currently home to the league champions.

Bootcamp

An intensive, two-week course, in which students will acquire a deeper understanding of the professional world of Sports Marketing in the 21st century. The Bootcamp will immerse the participants into the world of digital sponsorship activation by using a hands-on approach with a real-life case study. The knowledge and skills needed for this case study will be taught through masterclasses such as Branding & Sponsoring, Storytelling and Media & New Technology, as well as by guest lectures and inspiration sessions led by top professionals in the field.

Programme

Certificate

Students who successfully complete the course are awarded by an official certificate of Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences and receive 6 EC.
