TMA Export Award

On Monday 19 January 2015 Angelien Sanderman - member of the executive board of Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences - handed out the first TMA Export Award to Raoul van Wersch, Cilia Antonis, Frank van der Niet and Danica Djermor.

School of Built Environment extends collaboration agreement with Sultan Agung Islamic University, Indonesia

Representatives of the Sultan Agung Islamic University in Indonesia paid a visit to Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences. They signed an agreement with the School of Built Environment and explored possibilities for future collaboration with other RUAS schools.

Rotterdam European city of 2015

Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences is proud that Rotterdam may crown itself as the best European city of 2015. The award was given by the international Academy of Urbanism from London. Ronald Schneider, city counsellor of Rotterdam received the award. “Winning this award confirms that Rotterdam is at the beginning of a new time period” said Schneider.

Rotterdam University participates in a Dutch cooperation project of floating houses in Metro Manila

A Dutch-inspired floating homes project could be the answer to the frequent flooding in the Philippines, especially in Metro Manila. Dutch techniques and knowledge of sustainable floating houses will be used to reduce the vulnerability of the urban poor communities.

School of Commercial Management Studies signs collaboration agreement with Salem State University (U.S.A.)

Last week, a delegation of the School of Commercial Management Studies visited Salem State University to sign a collaboration agreement. This university, located just 15 miles north of Boston, is one of the largest state universities in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and an important partner in the economic, cultural and intellectual vitality of the greater north-of-Boston region.
